Herrera Photography, music and coffee!

Art and music in one night! I'm going to have an art exhibit of some of my photography at JJ's Corner Coffee shop in Frederick, Colorado. There will be music by my dad who is a solo guitarist and some food and wine! Invite your friends for a night out in a really small town:). It will be fun!

Where is Frederick you may ask?  Go north on I-25 past the Erie/Dacono exit 235.  Take a right at the Frederick/Firestone exit (also a Boulder exit 235).  Continue until  you have reached the light (Colorado Blvd) and turn left.  Take your first right over the bridge and the coffee shop is on the corner in Miners Square Building on the corner of 5th and Oak.

At the Stables with Caroline Paciaroni and Molly

I've always wanted to photograph a horse and its rider.  Today I had the opportunity of doing just that and it was exactly how I had imagined.  I had a really good time this morning getting to know Caroline and Molly, her horse, who was so graceful and of course gentle with her rider.  All of the posing was natural.  They do go together!  Enjoy!

This morning I really wanted to go out and take some pictures of the season.  My first thought was Nederland, CO, but knowing that was not going to be an option today I had to pick something else.  One of my favorite things to photograph during the winter season is desolation, especially, deciduous trees complimented with bright and vibrant colors.  I didn't end up going very far to photograph today.  I actually stayed within 5 miles of where I live.  I hope you enjoy these few pictures from my short Sunday drive!

Pure Fashion - Mother and Daughter Event

Sunday Pure Fashion brought the Mother's and Daughter's involved in this program together at Maggiano's in South Denver.  This was an enlightening time not only for myself, but for those who were also there.  I say this because we learned ettiquette techniques for eating the European way and the the American way.  This is something that I'm going to take with me.  Not only that, but we also had a speaker from the Author of Awakening, Claudia Cangilla McAdam speak to us about the book and about faith.  It was a great day of reminder to be who we are in the light of Christ to others as best as we can.  I've only posted a picture here.  The entire photoshoot can be found on my website at www.HerreraPhotography.biz.  Go to the Featured Galleries and "Pure Fashion."  These women are here to make a difference in this world and that inspires me!  Enjoy! 

Little Christmas Cheer!

On November 7, Jon and Laura were married at Holy Ghost Church in Denver.  We took some time out to take some pictures at City Park.  Jon proposed to Laura on bench at the park, so we revisited the park after sealing their marriage.  Congratulations Laura and Jon!

Someone Worth Waiting For

The Neikes have finally got their little girl.  The last day of a prayer novena to St. Philomena for a completely different prayer the Neikes received a call from a mother asking if they would like to adopt her baby. 

I had a wonderful time last night sharing and learning about the Neikes' story.  They have a beautiful little girl named Christine.  As you will see in these pictures, she is as sweet as they come!

Congratulations to the Neikes and enjoy their family pictures!  Also, included is a picture of the new baby and her family patron saint - St. Philomena.
