Inspired by the sky

I wanted to share this image as it was the last photo of the day. I was in Boulder shooting in the cold wind, but I had this idea that I really wanted to execute. So I drove to Chautauqua Park and I found the perfect mountain. Normally, I wouldn't choose to sit outside in the bitter cold to get a shot, but this was it. This was the mountain that I needed, so I did. I was inspired with this idea to express how I felt when completing a milestone.

I'm including two different photos. One of which is of the mountain top without me on it and the other is of the mountain with me dancing. I couldn't decide which I liked better. Although it may not seem realistic to be dancing at the top of the mountain, I thought it expressed what I was feeling. You be the judge!

Michael and Jen

When I asked my cousin to allow me to photograph him, he agreed and came up from Greeley with Jen. Michael and Jen had a lot of fun with the session as they allowed to capture them as individuals and their friendship. They certainly know how to laugh at themselves and with each other. What a wonderful friendship! We had a lot of fun and it was a pleasure working with the both of them.

Sundays: Imagining Denver

When I'm taking my Sunday walks, I always seem to wonder what it would have been like to have lived about 50 years ago. I especially, start thinking about this when I get around all of the historical buildings. I start imagining life without cars and technology. What a different place from where we live right now.

Sundays: Are made for walking or dancing

Today I walked around the Colorado Convention Center. There was supposed to be a bridal show today, but I must of read the sign wrong. Don't worry I'm not looking to be a bride anytime soon. I was attempting to collect magazines to replicate ads for my advertising class this quarter. I also thought it might be a good tool for networking with wedding photographers in the area. Either way I had more time to walk because the event was non-existent. I went to one of my favorite spots. The dancers. I just can't get enough of them. Enjoy!

Sisters 2008

Last week I had the pleasure of watching three girls, Alexa, Piper and Julia, ages 5, 7, and 9. I never had sisters growing up, so it was refreshing to be in a house full of girls. During my stay, we did a number of things from making dinner to watching Hannah Montana. One of our activities also included a photo shoot. While they had fun posing, I had more fun posing and photographing them.
